According
to the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), objective
supervision is always part of an ethical coaching practice. Sevil’s
expertise gives her the ability to improve the awareness of Praesta
coaches and to recommend a wider variety of approaches to the challenges
presented by our clients. Her extensive clinical experience allows her
to reinforce clear professional distinctions between therapy and
executive coaching.
Sevil has a private therapy practice where she works as a
psychiatrist and psychotherapist. She is also the consulting
psychiatrist for one of Istanbul’s leading psychotherapy institutes.
A medical doctor, Sevil has more than seven years experience as
consulting psychiatrist at a well-respected state hospital. Her clinical
work focused primarily on the treatment of patients who were overcoming
drug/alcohol addiction. In addition to her medical training, Sevil’s
commitment to ongoing professional development led her to obtain
specialized professional certifications in the practice of behavioral
therapy and psychodrama therapy.
Being a candidate psychoanalyst, she is currently working with
clients “on the couch” under the supervision of training
psychoanalysts approved by the International Psychoanalitic
Association (IPA). She has been following an intensive training
programme run by psychoanalysts from all around the world within the
last 3 years.
Finally,
Sevil has considerable exposure to business and organizational concerns
as the founder of a boutique-consulting firm that offers workplace
counseling and specialized self-development programs to large industrial
companies.
